They both tricked me! Claudius poisoned Laertes sword so just a single cut would end my life. Amidst our duel, Laertes managed to slice me with his lethal sword, which will now inevitably kill me. However, I have managed to finish off Laertes before my demise. Yet, sadly enough, my mother was killed during the uproar by accidentally drinking a glass of poisoned wine meant for me. Raging at the thought of the extent that Claudius has torn my family apart I stab him and force him to finish off the poisonous wine. Now with my last breaths I wish to serve you, my students, as an educator, so that you can learn from our grave mistakes and make sure that this tale is never forgotten. As death slowly creeps upon me now, I strangely feel not fear but peace of mind for finally being able to fulfill my father’s vengeance and end my wretched life. So goodbye my young scholars, if God has any mercy I may see you once again in heaven. If not I bid my farewell and hope for the best. -Hamlet
